The songs hook you

The function held to release the CDs of the film "Kokki" saw the audience appreciating the music

MUSIC TIME At the launch of cassettes and CDs for "Kokki"

It was a cassette release function that made all those present nostalgic. The invitees spoke about their relationship with Karan, hero of "Kokki". "I used to admire Karan even before I became a director. Later, when I did become one, I cast him in "Kadal Kottai" and then in "Gokulathil Seethai," said director Agathian.

R. B. Chowdry recalled, "Whenever I saw Karan I would ask him why he was not acting in films. He had refused nearly 45 films. It was only after seeing the trailer of "Kokki" that I realised he was acting in it." Actor Srikanth said, "It is one of the best trailers I have seen till today. I know that Prabu Solomon and Karan are talented. I am eager to see the film."

Seeing the way the songs have been picturised, director Saran said the duo would be rewarded for their hard work with success.

Touched by the appreciation from the film fraternity, Karan said, "I am glad to know that all of you have liked the songs and the trailers. I am sure you will enjoy the film too."

Friends Cinema "Kokki" for the first time has three instrumental compositions, which are lively and will be received well by the audience. Of the five songs tuned by Dhina, two received encores from the Press itself. One is a mass song `Aa Sona Ayanavaram' sung by Malathi and written by Ugabharathi. The other song was `Summa Oru Thali' written by Snehan and sung by Manikkavinayagam and Anoorada Sriram. Another good number is `Ore Oru Sogam' sung by Karthik and written by Ugabharathi. Kabilan's `Elelo' and Pa.Vijai's `Evana' are also good to hear.

The film is produced by Sethu, Vineeth Gogia and R. Balasubramanian and the story, screenplay, dialogue and direction are by Prabu Solomon.
