For designers who want to make a splash in the world of couture

With the fashion scenario in the country evolving with every passing day, up-and-coming designers can get ready for Designer Hunt 2006. The fashion kaleidoscope enables them to splash their creative hues on the canvas of couture. The event, which promises the participants a plethora of opportunities will take place in September. The show intends to get industry stalwarts and contestants on a common dais to create a healthy exchange of ideas, says Yusuf Dohadwala of Peppermint Communication, the brain behind the fashion fiesta.
Designer Hunt 2006 has more than 300 institutes nationwide participating - NIFT, NIFD, IFFT, Wigan and Leigh and J D Institute. There are exciting prizes for the winning designers and awards for participating categories. What's more there will be placements in the fashion industry for all the 60 finalists.
An all-expenses paid voyage to the fashion capital of the world, Milan, is the main attraction for the three winners of the ramp rendezvous.
