Our responsibilities towards senior citizens

Be sensitive

Government gives concessions for rail and air travel, the same should be extended to bus travel too. Also, the implementation of various health schemes is far from satisfactory. The bureaucratic processes are quite harassing for the senior citizens. Government hospitals should stock the necessary medicines. It is tiring for elders to run around for medicines with no proper transportation. Youngsters should take some time off to be with the elderly in the neighbourhood. If the future generation is taught to respect elders, they will naturally know their responsibilities.
