Leather in summer!

With most of the national and the international brands coming up with their latest collections, it is hard to keep an eye on the latest. Many of these brands often try to trick people by making use of their global name.

One example of this was set this week when the German brand Aigner came out with its spring-summer collection. The launch was actually a fashion show where 50 evergreen and ever-seen designs were showcased. The outfits consisted mainly of chiffon and linen.

Being a brand associated mainly with leather products, Aigner also showcased some leather clothing displayed in a recent fashion show in Milan, Italy.

Aigner, whose men's collection is already in stores in Delhi and Mumbai, presented its women's collection here.

Francis Shenker, the brand consultant, present at the event, said luxury and comfort are the collection's USP and it is starting at Rs 5,000 for accessories and Rs.50,000 to 70,000 for the leather outfits.

However, the entire show turned out to be a damp squib with none of the Indian fashion gurus showing up.
