A summer treat for kids

Summer is here so are the special attractions for children, be it camps and outstation trips at schools or special menu for kids in cafés. And to attract children is one of the key marketing strategies restaurants follow because generally the whole family comes with a kid when he wants to eat out.

Gourmet Gallery in South Extension has introduced `Naughty Bites', an exclusive menu for kids from five to 12. And to make the set of choices more appealing, it is using names of different cartoon characters for food items. French fries, pizzas, burgers to pasta, sandwiches, milk shakes and fresh fruit are available for the kids apart from regular meals for adults.

If your child wants to eat something hot then go for `Stuart Little' French fries, `Jaadoo' grill sandwich, `Batman' sandwich, `Shrek' mini burger, `The Son of Mask' mini pizza, `Superman' or `Spiderman' pastas. All these dishes are available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian segments.

Then there are these `Tom & Jerry' shakes with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavours to choose from. Other items in the shakes category include `Mickey Mouse' shake that has a mixture of orange and mango, `Bugs Bunny' shakes for naughty ones, besides `Winne-the-pooh' and `Popoye' soft drinks.

Dexter and Zorro

In the desserts section we have `Dexter' tutti-frutti sundae, `Zorro' Mexican flan, `King Kong' banana split and `Snow Bell' fresh fruits with whipped cream. The best thing about this menu is that students of classes nursery to V and class X can get discount as per their report card percentage.

Gourmet Gallery has three restaurants serving Mexican, Oriental and Indian cuisines and having their own typical environment. You can eat Chinese food in Indian Café or for that matter Indian meals in Mexican bistro. But `Naughty Bites' could be had at all the restaurants here.
