A delight for vegetarians

GO VEGETARIAN Gulati restaurant at Pandara Road market

Man is what he eats. According to our ancient scriptures, a person's personality is built by three elements: his education, his environment and his food habits. And satvik ahaar is the best. In modern times also we are seeing a change in people's eating habits. They are turning back from non-vegetarian to vegetarian.

Established in 1997, vegetarian Gulati restaurant in Pandara Road market is offering its customers only pure vegetarian meals. It is not only about the food. You will also experience the traditional Indian touch in a cool ambience. Relish the feast while enjoying Rajasthani folk dance and music near your table. So, shall we start eating?

Special Paushtik shorba, which contains vital proteins and vitamins, is a real good starter. In beverages, apart from regular cold drinks, the eatery offers pudina jaljeera, which is totally fresh and without any masala, and fresh ginger lime soda.

The main course menu is divided into three categories keeping in mind an individual's preference. There is creamy Dilli ki handi that offers stuffed dum aloo and paneer Afghani to name a few. Spicy Punjab di rasoi with dishes like dilbag kofta, lal rajma and Punjabi kadhi are also pretty nice. And those who do not even eat onion and garlic, there is godly Vaishno bhojan, paneer makhani and pudina aloo matar are the best in this class.

The restaurant also serves a variety of vegetarian kababs ranging from tak-a-tak kabab to bhutta vegetarian kabab. The ultra-light special vegetarian kheer made of gajar and lauki instead of rice is the finest dessert you can have.

"All our items are made in desi ghee and we use stainless steel utensils instead of bone China," says Praveen Gulati, the owner. Purity at its best!
