SEQUEL MAN Madhur Bhandarkar is the newest to follow the trend

Madhur Bhandarkar is not content making his trilogy - Page 3, Corporate and Signal. He wants to venture further and jump to the bandwagon of sequel makers. He wants to revisit two of his successful films - Chandni Bar and Page 3. Madhur tells us, "I've registered the titles Chandni Bar 2 and Page 3 - Part 2."

Will the sequels star the same principal actors who've worked in the earlier films? "It's too early to say anything. Because I haven't worked on the stories yet. I just felt that Chandni Bar had an opening and has the potential for a sequel. And Page 3 is an idea that can be revisited again. As of now, I am winding up Corporate and then starting Signal. Only after a year or so I will begin work on the sequels. There is no story or script as of now," explains Madhur.

What made him register the titles before the story has taken shape? "Well, many people do that. Any film-maker can register the title. And instead of someone else registering these titles, it's better for me to do so," he quips. Was this move a result of a number of sequels being made in Bollywood today? "Not really," he shrugs.
