Cinema and TV celebrities enlivened a show organised in the city

GLAMOUR QUOTIENT Namitha at the show
John Britto's dance company was clearly the best part of the Fair and Lovely Menz Active's "Change Your Story" contest. They had the grace, the energy and the stage presence that a whole lot of contestants lacked.
A shocker considering that the organisers said, "out of thousands of entries received, 115 were personally called to participate in bike races and finally 18 were short-listed to participate in the grand finale."
Apparently, the finalists were groomed by director Balasekaran, stunt master Rakki Rajesh, director Sakti Chidambaram, art director Shanmugam, cinematographer Raghav and Professor Ravi Raja from the Film Institute.
The training showed in the acting round that worked best among the other rounds that ended up providing comic relief. Britto's dancers upstaged them in the duet round and four of the finalists were eliminated before the next "death-defying" round where the wannabes did a mock fight routine that looked as dangerous as watching Kung Pow on a lazy afternoon.
The funniest bit of the show was when actress Namitha walked in like a Barbie doll when a guy on stage playing a leper dropped his headphone that instantly went dead. Heads turned, the sound on stage went dead and all eyes were on Namitha as the guy continued his act without a clue that his mike was dead. Vijay Adhiraj came to his rescue and handed him a cordless mike.
But Namitha's impact made the actor drop that one too. And yes, needless to say, the sound went dead for the rest of his performance.
Myilsamy did a brilliant stand-up comedy routine, with near flawless mimicry, imitating everyone from Sivaji to the Superstar and even doing a take on the traffic constable on a sunny day.
Prakash Raj had a few kind words for the participants when he said: "You are on stage. It's the talent that makes you guys fair and lovely."
The winner of the show Praveen Kumar will play a role with Madhavan in the film "Aarya".
