MELODIOUS NOTES Air Supply
It started many moons ago during the rehearsals for Jesus Christ Superstar in Sydney. On May 12, 1975, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock met and instantly hit it off because of a common love for music and The Beatles. The duo went the usual struggler route with every record company rejecting its music until the big break from CBS and the rest naturally has to be history. Air Supply's live shows are something else and they were the first group to go to China and Taiwan.
Songs like "Lost in Love", "All Out of Love", "The One that you Love", "Sweet Dreams" and "Making Love out of Nothing At All" are permanent fixtures on all those unchained melodies and love songs anthologies.
The good news is Air Supply has chosen India to celebrate 30 years of its melodic rock and is performing in Delhi, Bangalore and Shillong. While the show in Delhi is on this Thursday, (May 11), fans in Bangalore will see them rock their city the next day.
And on May 14, Air Supply will go to the north-eastern city of Shillong, known for its love for western music.
