Going visual

INNOVATIVE The show window at Samsaara

Fashion is a fast evolving sector in India and it's time to experiment with novel concepts to sell fashion. So here comes Swarovski, one of the world's leading brands for cut crystal, and Genesis Colors with a new fashion idea, `Visual Merchandising'. The idea is being used in the window dressing of the designer clothing store, Samsaara in Delhi's South Extension Part II. The show window displays a dark and stunning mannequin lounging on a big old leathered trunk filled with her two beheaded victims in her feet and holding a whip in her hand. "The backdrop showcases crystal art and appealing colours of 1970's pop culture".

According to Sanjay Kapoor, Managing Director, Genesis Colors, "This window display is to set a tone for customers. It is about setting the mood."

Senior Manager with Swarovski, Aparna Batra says, "The diva at the window is the woman of today who is not scared, not ashamed and confident of what she is".

The Samsaara shop showcases creations of as many as 50 designers.
