Grading system...

Ending the ranking system

The best thing to have happened in the recent past is the ending of the ranking system by the Intermediate Board. It has become the root cause of all evils of commercialisation of a noble service. In fact the introduction of `grading system' is in keeping with the recommendations of the National Education Policy. So far such colleges have been finding ways and means to circumvent even the most elaborate mechanism of the Government. It remains to be seen whether the Board will be able to contain all the other questionable practices of the said colleges.
