A Hyderabadi food festival at Le Royal Meridien from May 13-22
|
The rich Hyderabadi culture comes alive on your platter at Navratna, the Indian restaurant at Le Royal Meridien - Chennai from May 13 to May 22.
The ambience is designed to give you and your family a feel of royalty. Enjoy the folk dances of the state and relish the sumptuous Hyderabadi spread conjured by Geeta Devi, , has been flown down for the festival, and our the hotel's Executive Chef Manuel.
Geeta Devi family has been closely associated with the Mughal aristocracy.
One can start a traditional Hyderabadi meal with the Murg Shorba or Sabzi Shorba, accompanied with starters like Shikampur Kebab, Pattar ke Gosht, Jhinga Akbari, Birbali Seekh and Aloo Gulistan.
The main course offers Murg Dum Biryani, Kacchi Biryani, Khubuli Pulao, Subz Nizami Pulao, Machhi ka Korma, Haleem, Safed Mirchi ka Salan, Paneer Noor Jahani, Kaddi ka Dalcha and much more. Khubani ka Mitha, Double ka Mitha and Gelai Firdaus could be a sweet ending to your meal.
All dishes are a blend of `Mughlai' and `Lucknawi' food traditions, according to Geeta Devi.
The ghazal performances will provide an aural treat. A private dining room is available for up to 12 persons and a bar for pre-dinner drinks.
During the festival, guests will have to follow a dress code: kurta-pyjama, Tirchi topi and salwar kameez.
The festival is for dinner from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
