DEVAYANI IS BACK

Devayani alias Abhi, the queen of the small screen, is back in "Kolangal" after her four-month maternity leave. In her absence, the makers of the serialhad roped in Ganga (Chandra Laxman), who plays an ambitious girl of today, quite in contrast to Abhi's character. Devayani who looks slim now, says that she lost a few pounds and is all excited to be back in the serial that will take some new twists and turns. Says director Thiruchelvam, who also plays the role of Tolkapian, "No other serial has been able to hold the viewers' attention, particularly of women, like "Kolangal". In spite of the election fever, the serial has been going steady at the number one spot with a high TRP of 23."
