Some music from this age

NEW AGE MUSIC Some of the children trained from the Musicology Institute in Delhi

Musicology, India's "first new age music school", which has joined hands with the respected Trinity School of Music, London, celebrated their "Live Annual Concert" at the FICCI Auditorium this past week. Grammy nominee and the first Indian to perform at Olympics, Gaurav Mazumdar was invited as the chief guest. The event started with a performance by a kid's band. They played Backstreet Boys' "As long as you love me", Strings' "Kahani Muhabbat Ki" and Bryan Adams' "Summer of 69". An all-girl teenage band sung "Zombie" too.

A group of underprivileged children, trained by Musicology, performed the popular number, "Imagine" by John Lennon. They also gave their solo performances. Anurag Dixit, the director of the school, and his band also entertained the audience. Their recital of The Beetles' evergreen song, "Words" enlivened the crowd. Dixit, who is also a singer and a lyricist, also mesmerised the listeners with his self-composed songs. The function's most awaited part was live performance by India's youngest band comprising children between age six and ten.

After a short video presentation on the school's achievements, MazumdarAnjali Mata, the representative of Trinity School, distributed the certificates to the students.
