Make way for an F1 album, nostalgia and punk rock

Paul Simon and his band took centre stage at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. More tours from the legend are on the cards as he releases his new album this week, his fresh studio work since 2000.

Simon collaborates with Brian Eno for the album that contains some of his best work since Graceland.

Recorded at Eno's studio in London as well as studios in New York and Nashville, the album features 11 songs, including the Oscar-nominated Father And Daughter.

The album features contributions from musicians Steve Gadd, Herbie Hancock, and Bill Frisell.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers return with their ninth album on May 9, 2006.The twin CD compilation features 28 songs.

"Every album we do, we try to have a concept and a sense of direction. The most important idea for this album was movement," says the group. The album traverses from the history of rock `n' roll to the dark side of LA and more.
