Sailing to victory?

The Hutch National Laser Coastal Sailing Championship — 2006, organised by Laser Class Association of India (LCAI) and hosted by the Tamil Nadu Sailing Association (TNSA), will be held from May 20 to 25 along the Chennai harbour.

The opening ceremony will take place on May 20 at the TNSA Club Premises. Naval officer in command, Comm T. Hari, VSM, The Commander Coast Guard Eastern Region IG Rajinder Singh and others will flag off the first few participants.

A fleet of fifty sailors will be competing in three classes of boats — Laser Standard, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7. Among the contestants are Rajesh Choudhary, Amit Arvind, N. S. Johal and Harihara.

The prize distribution will take place on May 25, 7 p.m., at the Taj Coromandel Hotel.
