Pizza gets a new shape

Who does not want to eat pizza? This food item, that originated in the Italian kitchens, has become popular all over the world now. If going out on a weekend, or if you need to eat something quickly before that business meeting or if you are just too tired to cook an elaborate meal, pizza can be the answer. Many urbaniites here are now heard saying they just like to have pizza for a change from their daily diet of roti-sabzi or chawal. This fast food has become a staple diet in the West long back and is in the process of fast conquering the Indian appetite too.

Though Pizzas are traditionally round in shape, the chain restaurant, Pizza Corner, in a way to attract more diners, has come out with a new concept - pizza in a cone called `conizza'. This innovative product is soft yet crispy. The pizza base is wrapped around toppings blended with melting mozzarella cheese. It comes in six different options. You can have spicy veggie conizza, a combination of onion, capsicum and jalapenos mixed with heaps of cheese. Then there is paneer tikka conizza spiked with masala sauce, onion and capsicum. Also on offer is mushroom and corn conizza, a cheesy compilation of corn, mushroom and capsicum in the vegetarian category.

For non-vegetarian folks there are chicken sauce conizza flavoured with sausage, onion and capsicum with cheese, chicken tikka conizza packed with chicken tikka, onion and capsicum and keema conizza, a unique enchantment of minced meat cooked with onion and masala sauce. The price ranges from Rs.65 to 80 plus taxes.

The best thing about conizza is that you can relish it anywhere, anytime. One can carry it while walking or enjoy it while working on the computer.

Conizza is not the only new thing on offer at Pizza Corner. It has also launched a `dessert pizza'. Eight-inch in diameter, the sweet dish is divided into four pieces and is covered with ice cream and delicious sweeteners.
