Kitchen love

An opportunity to transform your home

Jayams Hall in Racecourse is host to an exhibition of kitchenware and home decoration items.

With a wide range of articles imported from France, Germany, Thailand, Japan, China and Korea, it offers something different from the usual.

Useful and stylish

The exhibits include a variety of products ranging from idli cookers to Korean pieces of art.

Statues from Taiwan, decorative clocks with fancy grain-work, vases in different sizes, crystal bowls, tea sets and microwave-safe bowls are just a few of the products on display.

Imported glassware from the French company, Luminarc, Opal from Thailand, non-stick kitchen containers from Parka, a Korean company, etc make the exhibition different from the run of the mill. Glass, wood, ceramic, melamine, crystal and micro-safe plastic have been creatively used to make a variety of items of use in the kitchen and also for decoration.

Wine glasses in different sizes and shapes, cups and saucers from China, micro-safe coffee mugs and milk jugs are available, as are mugs with attractively wrought handles in the shape of animals.

Wooden items have shelf space all their own and include small writing desks, fruit hangers, CD holders, cutlery stands, etc.

Glass with class

Glassware comprising bowls, trays, tea-cups and attractively designed serving dishes are attractively displayed.

The highlight is the array of air-tight containers, bowls, trays, flatware, etc that are microwave-safe and at the same attractive and colourful.

Popular ware

"Crystal ware from Turkey, Japan and Germany is the most attractive part of the exhibition", says a visitor to the exhibition.

The newly launched dinner set is the other popular product.

The unusual shape of the plates and coasters and the colours in which they come have caught the fancy of many people.

According to the organisers, the sale so far has been satisfactory. Helpful sales persons explain the use of several products on display to the visitors.

In a nutshell, you can find enough in this exhibition to give your home a makeover at a reasonable cost. The exhibition is on till June 5.
