Best mill in the world

In an awards ceremony instituted to applaud the best engines on the market, Toyota won with the Prius' engine this year. In the International Engine of the Year award, the criteria is that the engine in mass production should also be installed on a production car and be available in more than one country. Toyota's 1500cc petrol-electric engine, found in the Prius — the Hybrid Synergy Drive, has won. Not only did it win best 1.4-1.8 litre engine for the third year in a row, but has also been dubbed `Best - Fuel Economy' for its application in the Toyota Prius. Ever since its launch, the Hybrid Synergy Drive has won both categories in the second-generation Prius since 2004. Since 1997, Toyota has sold 613,300 hybrid vehicles world-wide. Congrats, Toyota!
