Karan re-launched!

Remember Karan, the guy who played the big bully in Kamal Hassan's "Nammavar"? He started off as a child artiste and has done more than 50 films. He is now being re-launched as a hero in "Kokki", releasing this Friday. The film is directed by Prabhu Solomon, who had done "King" with Vikram earlier. In "Kokki", Karan plays a village simpleton who comes to the big bad city and falls into wrong hands. How he comes out of difficult situations forms the rest of this action film. Sanjana, a Mumbai model, is the heroine, and Rahasiya does an item number. The music is by Dheena. Says Karan: "`Kokki' will be a totally different film — realistic and entertaining. I feel it will prove to be a landmark film for me."
