The hunt for India's Best Short Film has been launched by Sahara One Network through its Filmy Short Film Festival.
The festival, which is the first of its kind on television, is open to all, including independent and amateur filmmakers.
Films from all genres can be showcased documentaries and animated movies on themes such as humour, horror and sci-fi. Applicants should send in their films of up to 60-minute duration before June 15, to FILMY, Second Floor Sahara One Tower, Gate No-4, Kamla Mill Compound, P. B. Marg, Lower Parel, Mumbai 13.
The entries will be short-listed by a jury consisting of people from the industry, which will then be telecast on Sahara One.
Viewers can vote for their favourite film and the `Audience Favourite' film and filmmaker will later be profiled on the channel.
