Jumbo attraction

Of a popular health drink for juniors

TREAT FOR KIDS At the launch event

An inflatable orange elephant squeezed through the narrow pathway that led to producer Manoj's house. The mascot of Junior Horlicks 1-2-3 was there for the drink's re-launch.

Parents are increasingly concerned about their children's nutrition and brain development and it is therefore an apt time for Glaxo Smithkline to relaunch its drink Horlicks.

It is meant for 2 to 5 year-olds and is the first health food drink in India to include DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). The new ingredient, according to the company, aids in "brain development" and is good for eyesight. Seafood, especially fresh water fish, and flax seeds are said to be good sources of DHA.

At the function, fashion designer Erum Ali and her four-year-old son Aymaan gave the first combo pack to Vidya Sreedhar and her four-year-old-son Sreevinay, which included a 500 gram bottle of Junior Horlicks.

Erum said, "The main concern of most mothers is their children's diet for, children tend to be fussy. I believe the drink complements their nutritional needs and Aymaan seems to love it."

She added with a smile, "He loves to eat it rather than drink it." "I love to mix it in water and eat it," piped up Aymaan, shyly.

The jumbo visited 250 houses in the city in a span of three days, introducing them to the drink and giving the mothers' pamphlets and samples.

During the visits, the promoters organised games for the children.
