"The environmental factors are responsible for causing pre-mature ageing," says Shobha Sehgal, Chief Technical Officer-Beauty Services, VLCC Health Care Limited.
Sehgal pointed out that the increasing levels of pollution, extreme climatic conditions as well as exposure to the sunrays for long can play havoc with your skin and make it appear lifeless.
On most occasions, people do not take adequate precautions like applying sunscreen while going out and this causes damage to the skin. The eight international treatments aim to hydrate the skin and restore the sense of well being, says Sehgal.
The beauty services launched now have been researched in French laboratories, said Sehgal.
Though the skin treatment is aimed at people of all age groups, it specially targets those in their late 20s and early 30s and above when the skin actually begins to show signs of wear and tear.
These treatments according to Sehgal are a blend of cosmetology and dermatology.
The travails of the skin may range from dark circles under the eyes, pigmentation, scars, puffiness and acne, especially amongst teenagers. These methods are meant to restore the water balance to the skin as well as make it soft and supple.
"Both men and women can benefit from these treatments," says Sehgal. The number of sittings required for the treatment will depend on the requirement of the customer as well as the condition of the skin. A single sitting can cost any where between Rs. 2, 000 to Rs. 4, 000.
The eight treatments launched are lipo-lift contour, aroma-sensitive, sebo control, botu-like, skin hormone resource, supreme DHE-Age, white perfect and novacid+. These are treatments specific to the skin types and the shape of the face. They are also said to be an alternative to botox injections.
