Speed thrills

Akbar and Armaan Ebrahim, the well-known Chennai-based father-son duo in motorsports, will soon feature in a programme titled "Speed Dynasties, on World Discovery Channel.

Apart from the Ebrahims, the Fittipaldi, the Andretti, the Mc'Rae and the Alan Jones families will be featured. All these four families have been World Champions in racing and rallying.

The programme will focus on whether genetics has a role in the evolution of the champions.

It will also focus on Armaan's Formula Renault UK championship and his experience in the A1 GP championship as the youngest ever driver to drive a 550 BHP racing car at the age of 16.

The programme will include round 3 of Armaan's race in the Formula Renault UK championship at Thruxton, a circuit that Armaan will have to drive blind on as he has never been to that circuit before and also cannot test there prior to the race.
