The Grammy winning artiste presents his first solo album in 13 years. This is the final instalment of his musical trilogy that began with The Nightfly in 1982. "The Nightfly is sort of looking from the standpoint of youth. Kamakiriad would be more about midlife.

This new one is about endings, really." Richly-textured jazz, soul and rock grooves come alive in themes that range from impending mortality and apocalyptic scenarios to homeland security and the ghost of Ray Charles.

In May 2003, Sir James Paul McCartney created history as he performed to a 1,00,000 strong crowd at the Red Square, Moscow, that had President Putin in the audience as well, who had this to say about The Beatles' music — "It was like a gulp of freedom... an open window to the world." The cover features songs rendered at the historic concert that saw the ex Beatle's singing classic hits spanning across his The Beatles, Wings and solo career.
