Unique event

Raj TV has been focussing on mega events such as "Muthalvan Awards", "KB Oru Sagaptham" and "Endrendrum Valee" to gain popularity. Now the channel has come up with a 10-town musical star nite event across Tamil Nadu titled "Kodai Kondattam." The programme mix has songs by Harish Raghavendra, Srilekha Parthasarathy, Sriram and others, dance by Spellbound and a fashion show. The show is being conducted in 10 small towns of Tamil Nadu like Vellore, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam and other B and C stations, where the audience gets a taste of a live television show for the first time. Says Shankar B, vice-president, sales and marketing Raj TV: "Nearly 5,000 people turned up for these shows as tickets were distributed through sponsors. Raj TV is telecasting each event on alternate Sundays from May 28."
