Brunch by the beach

This weekend, if it's too late for breakfast and too early for lunch, make a beeline for Taj Green Cove Resort Kovalam, because the resort is serving brunch from this weekend from 12 noon to 3.30 p.m.

For Rs.350 plus taxes you can start with a steaming bowl of vegetarian or non-vegetarian soup and move on to scrumptious tuna, chicken, grilled aubergine and tomato or mint and cucumber sandwiches.

You can choose to either have the sandwiches or tuck into the main course from the kitchen.

The main course includes Meen Kodumpulli curry and Mutton Rogan Josh for non-vegetarians and Badam Palak Kofta Curry or vegetable stew for the vegetarian, among a variety of other dishes. All orders with be served with accompaniments, dal, and Indian breads.

There is a live, interactive pasta and egg counter too. You can finish your brunch with a choice of the six desserts on display.

The brunch will be served in `Jasmine Bay,' the resorts' cool poolside restaurant.

Enjoy a swim at no extra charge in the infinity pool that overlooks the ocean and is surrounded by swaying coconut palms.
