The music Tadka

It's time to sway with the all new SI Tadka music channel

The launch of music channel S1 Tadka by the Delhi and NCR centric news channel S1 was marked by the presence of political who's who and other achievers from various walks of life. The event was an amalgamation of music and a warm get-together. Young achievers who topped the CBSE exams and the brave hearts, who saved several lives during the Sarojini Nagar blast and Meerut fire, were awarded at the function.

Vijay Dixit, Chairman, Senior Group felt elated as S1 news channel completed its first year and there was a launch of a 24-hour music channel that will be a blend of popular and the traditional music. "This music channel will not just focus on the Metro viewers but will give space to our vanishing folk songs," insists Vijay Dixit.

The list of guests included Shatrughan Sinha, Sushma Swaraj, Arjun Munda and Lalu Prasad besides Kathak dancers Raja and Radha Reddy, singer Shankar Shawney, cricketers Murali Kartik and Gautam Gambhir. The qawwali by the Wadali brothers added to the entertainment quotient of the event. The music channel, supposed to be launched in December last year, finally saw light of the day with the repeated efforts of the chairman of the Senior Group.

The S1 Pride of the Nation Award was given away to Kuldeep Singh (DTC Bus Conductor), Budh Prakash (DTC Bus Driver), Pooja Srivastava (saved four children in Meerut fire), Mohammed Javed (posthumously for saving 20 children in Meerut fire) and the CBSE Toppers Nimisha Choudhary, Digvijay Singh and Vipul Gupta.

According to Vijay Dixit, talent and bravery of the people should be recognised. "It is not a business venture for me. It is something I feel for."
