Collars up!

Van Heusen unveiled its work wear collection this past week

The inventors of collar are back with a bang. Van Heusen unveiled its new Work Wear collection for men this past week at its flagship store in Connaught Place. Present on the occasion was top model and leading fashion consultant Nayonika Chatterjee.

Especially designed for the hot summers, the Ken and Tony collection uses three colours - white, pink and blue. The three colours are used individually, as well as, in combinations. Apparel in the line includes shirts, suits, jackets, ties, belts and shoes.

"With the Ken and Tony collection, Van Heusen has created a revolution of sorts," said Hemu Javeri, President, Madura Garments.

He added, "Rooted in the fashion trends of corporate New York and elegant Milan, it takes work wear notches up, moving away radically from the traditional naives and pinstripes, combining colours and styles to allow today's rushed young professionals to attend a meeting or party with equal panache!"

Model walk

As the models walked the ramp showcasing the Ken and Tony collection, Nayonika Chatterjee stepped into the announcer's shoes and commented, "Pink is definitely this season's black."

She added, "With its unique dimension this collection can be worn on multiple events."

She also selected three Van Heusen customers for portfolio shots. The three guys also walked the ramp along with other models.

With a lot of weddings coming up, Van Heusen has launched Linen Suits adapting to the Indian climate within the Ken and Tony collection. With breathe-easy fabric, these suits will surely cool off the wearer.

Good clothes open all doors.

In today's society where every individual want his clothes to speak for him, Van Heusen's Ken and Tony collection is definitely not a bad bet.
