THE UNUSUAL Colours of creativity

`Chhail Chhabilis', `Spanish Rhapsody', `Gypsies Unleashed', `Pooram', `Brides of Dracula', `Serpents on the move' and the list goes on. In case you are wondering what these exotic names suggest, these are collections of garments designed by Fashion Technology students of Assumption College, Changanassery.

The students of the second graduating batch of the degree course of the department of will present their final collection at a fashion show at the Taj Residency on June 3 at 5 p. m.

Each of the collections will have six to eight garments designed by the Fashion Technology students. Fashion choreographer Rajesh Shetty will choreograph the show. The collections that will be on display will not only showcase the creativity of the students but also show a slice of India with collections such as the vibrant `Chhail Chhabilis of Uttar Pradesh' or the dark romance of Van Helsing (the film) inspired `Brides of Dracula', or the joie de vivre of the Brazilian `Samba' or for that matter the colour and zest of our very own `Pooram'. Among those who will model the garments are Dipta, who was the first runner-up at the `Get Gorgeous' contest and Femina Miss India contestant, Radhika. Rao.
