Q & A on Beauty and Skin Care
Q1. My feet are extremely dry and frequently crack during the summer when I wear sandals every day. What should I do?
Answer 1. Most people neglect to take care of their feet, which is ironic because of the wear and tear we inflict upon them. It is really very simple to keep your feet smooth and beautiful, IF only we paid half the attention to feet that we pay to the face and hands! As a weekly routine, use a good exfoliating product to remove dead skin and stimulate blood circulation. Follow this with a rich cream, preferably one that contains cocoa butter and olive oil, which will help soften the skin. Make sure to massage the cream thoroughly into the skin, concentrating on your heels.
Q2. I am a young graduate and will be starting my first office job soon. I want to look professional for work. What tips do you have for looking fresh during the summer?
Answer 2. Congratulations on your first job! I'm sure this is a very exciting time for you. The key to looking fresh and professional during the hot summer months is to wear very light makeup. Keep your foundation as sheer as possible, or, better yet, use just pressed powder. Go easy on the eye shadow and choose lighter shades of pink lipstick. Keep some cleansing cloths in your purse for quick touch-ups if you have to go outside during the day. Always apply sun block before you go outside. Try to have a facial done once a month as this will help keep your skin looking fresh and clear. Wear lighter colored clothes, especially in shades of white, as these do not absorb the sun's rays and will help keep you cooler.
Q3. How do I get perfectly shaped eyebrows?
Answer 3. First of all, remember that no one has perfect eyebrows! But you can make them look neat and clean by following a few simple steps. The brow should start directly above the inner corner of your eye. To find this point, place a pencil on the outside of either nostril, pointing straight up to the eye. Where the pencil lands is where the brow should begin. Now angle the pencil so that it is level with the outer corner of the eye. This is where the brow should end. The natural arch, or the highest point, should be just a little beyond the outer corner of the iris. If you find this too difficult to do on your own, go for a brow shaping treatment, either through waxing or threading, at your favorite beauty parlour.
