Rakhi on stage again
Rakhi Sawant rocked the stage for Delhi audience recently.
Aishwarya Rai is top on her hate list! Maharashtra Police, according to her, have trouble with her "dancing talent". But she will go on wooing her fans with her unique dance steps and her ever-ready one-liners. This is Rakhi Sawant, the self-proclaimed item girl of Bollywood, who gripped the audiences with her performance and shocked the media with her statements. She was in the Capital this past week to perform along with Daler Mehndi to celebrate the launch of JTPL, Golden Towers at Mohali by the JMD group recently "If Aishwarya was not that insecure for her career then I would have done the `Kajra Re' number. She has snatched away my bread," she said wryly. Commenting on her performance at Nasik earlier this year, Rakhi said she could perform even in a burqa if her fans are `ready' to see her like that. She has been recently charged with obscenity during her performance, and so , likes Delhi for its cool attitude. "Delhi is lovely. At least the police do not have any qualms about my dancing skills. Maharashtra Police seem to have a problem with everything I do."
Comedy in kitty
She is all set to release her album by this year-end in which she has done playback for one number, which she claimed as "my kind of lyric". As for her forthcoming films, she is doing a comedy in which she is paired opposite Rajpal Yadav as his wife. Till then movies with meaty roles can wait, as she is too busy giving hit item numbers. "Aishwarya, Sushmita Sen, Rani Mukerji cannot dance like me, they all are too positively boring!" As she spoke, she expected the media to read between the lines.
Daler Mehndi enthralled the audience with his energetic performance at the same event. He made the audiences tap their feet to his hit songs which he paired with good old numbers.
It was cool only for a while as all hell broke loose with Rakhi's performance when some guests were manhandled to prevent them ascending on the stage. The function had to be called-off for sometime till the exuberant guests settled down. The performance resumed with Rakhi not missing her chance to perform on "Kajara Re" which was supposed to be her type of number!
