The well-known chain of sweet stores, New Arya Bhavan, is opening yet another outlet in the city. The new stall, opposite Swarna Silks on D.V.G. Road in Basavanagudi, offers sweets, chaats and milk beverages.

The outlet has over 200 varieties of sweets in south Indian, north Indian and Bengali traditions. So, you get a variety under one roof, from kaju barfi and champakali to motichur laddu and holige.

Besides the regular chaat items such as bhelpuri and papdi chat, there are also exotic items such as tandoori chats on the menu here.

J.B. Surendra Kumar of New Arya Bhavan says the sweets are made in pure ghee in hygienic conditions and are always fresh, and never stored.
