Sound check

Blaupunkt, one of the leaders in in-car entertainment sector has introduced Velocity Line car speakers. The speakers are said to have higher power handling facilities. The lightweight, stiff cones are made of low-resonance woven fibreglass. They are claimed to produce sound that is free of any distortion.

The VC component systems, with mid range speakers/woofers are available in sizes of 132 mm and 172 mm, together with matching tweeters and silk domes. For support in the bass range the company has introduced 250 mm and 300 mm diameter subwoofer variants.

Tweeters with discolouration-proof 25mm silk domes feature powerful neodymium magnets for higher sound efficiency. The subwoofers, which are often subjected to extreme mechanical stress and strain, have an additional special seam where the cone is stitched to rubber surrounds for better power handling.

The price range starts from Rs.7500 and goes up to Rs.11500.
