The Japanese connection

AOTS is the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship, Tokyo. It is a non-profit organisation supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of the Government of Japan for development of human resources of developing countries. AOTS provides specialised technical and management training to professionals. ASA is the alumni association of professionals who have received training from AOTS. ASA Kerala conducts seminars, workshops and short term training programmes on Japanese Management techniquesand Japanese language, translation and interpretation. can nominate trainees for short-term courses to Japan to AOTS, on scholarships for management training for engineers and technocrats.
