DELICIOUS DELICACIES The Goan band entertaining visitors at the food festival

It's `Viva Goa' at Hotel Green Park. At the on-going Goan food festival at the hotel, Goan cuisine has brought to the city the flavour of the golden beaches. With two chefs flown in from Goa just for the festival and a Goan band the place seems to have gone all out with recreating the romantic coastal atmosphere. Typical Goan decorations, wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies, Goan songs and surprise gifts and a lot more are in store for the visitors. Hosting for the first time `Viva Goa' food festival, expert chefs Terezhina and Ivo from Goa have brought a sumptuous range of delicacies. The buffet features Calde-De-Verde (a light soup with green pea and spinach_, Calddo-De-Cabrito (broth of lamb flavoured with celery and leek), Formiyan De Verde (Melange of vegetable with tomato-flavoured mayonnaise served at tart shells) and Tamdi Bhaji (stir fried red spinach with green chilli and coconut shaving).

No meal is complete without dessert, and more so this one. The bibinca, a traditional layered sweet, is a precocious interplay of tastes that entertain as much as they satisfy. The dinner buffet at the Princess multi-cuisine restaurant is sure to satisfy the most discerning gourmet. The festival will be on till June 22.
