Papa John's is here

Pizza lovers now have something exciting to look forward to. Papa John's, an established pizza chain throughout the world, opened its first outlet in India this week. Located in Noida's upmarket Sector 18, the bright colours of the restaurant are hard to miss. Spread across three levels, the atmosphere is lively, colourful and enjoyable.

The chain's USP is quality, which the owners claim, isn't compromised under any circumstance. The kitchen has been specially designed to keep the vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections of cooking apart. To leave no room for vegetarians' apprehension, the staff uses separate utensils and cutters. Most of the ingredients are imported. A lot of the pizzas have been localised, and Chicken Tikka, Chicken and Mutton Keema and Tandoori Chicken Pizzas are available here. The nine-page menu consists of much more, like starters, fresh salads and pastas. Their desserts, including Cinnapie and the Very Berry Pie are shaped like pizzas.

Little things

Best known for their pizzas, which come in four different sizes, Papa John's believes that "little things can make a big difference." Complementary with every order, is a special garlic sauce and two Pepperoncinis, a variety of capsicum also known as Sweet Italian Pepper. The restaurant can accommodate close to a hundred people. A large number of bright red motorbikes stand ready for home delivery.

Nigel Travis, the CEO of the company was here for the launch. On the occasion, he said, "India is a large, booming and attractive market, one of our six priority regions. It is therefore very significant for Papa John's. Delhi, we hope, becomes our base for substantial growth in the years to come."
