Raw banana cutlet
Raw banana cutlet with pudina chutney
The raw banana cutlet is very energy-giving and nutritious since it is cooked by par boiling or steaming.
Ingredients
Raw bananas: 4
Green chillies: 2
Coriander bunch: 1
Mirchi powder (red): 1 tsp
Ginger, grated: 1 piece
Cornflour: 1 tbsp
Tumeric powder: 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Refined oil to fry
Lemon juice (as preservative): 1tsp
Method: Take four bananas and steam it in pressure cooker. Remove bananas and cut into big pieces. Peel the skin and mash them into a proper paste. Chop green chillies and coriander leaves finely and add it to the smashed bananas. Then add grated ginger, red mirchi powder, tumeric powder, salt and lemon juice. Mix all the above ingredients into the banana batter. Add corn flour and give shape (round or cylindrical) and deep fry in a kadai till the cutlets are brown and crisp.
Ingredients for pudina chutney:
Pudina: 2 bunches
Coriander: 1 bunch
Green chillies: 2
Cumin seeds (Jeera): 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Method: Grind all the above ingredients to make pudina chutney. Add little water to make it semi liquid consistency. Serve the cutlet hot with pudina chutney and tomato sauce. Garnish it with chopped onions and coriander leaves.
