SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP Cinema and fashion have always reflected each other
It's a treat for film and fashion buffs at the PVR Cinema, Bangalore. The multiplex, in association with the Nokia N-Series Fashion Flix, brings the ramp alive at PVR.
"The aim is to reinvent and create a difference in the world of cinema exhibition; the initiative is to take high-end fashion to a more mass entertainment platform," says Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, ED, PVR, Ltd.
Last week it was Nisha Jamvwal's show that preceded the premier of MI3; then it was Deepika Govind's forecast on couture trends for the coming season, which was followed by a fashion show and the screening of The Da Vinci Code.
"Films and fashion have always reflected each other. Both influenced by society and prevailing trends believe that magic is a man-made creation. Designers take inspiration of the latest trends set by celluloid icons, believe the organisers.
On June 22, one can look forward to a show by Manoviraj Khosla, which will precede the premier of the next film at PVR.
