Ready for release
"Krrish", one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2006, is releasing this Friday. The film features Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra and is directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It is a sequel to Roshan's "Koi Mil Gaya". Here Hrithik plays Krishna, a `desi' Spiderman, Superman and Batman rolled into one, who uses his super powers for righteous reasons. He fights the bad men who killed his parents, romances Priyanka Chopra, a television journalist, and in the end, good triumphs over evil. Rakesh Roshan hopes to continue with another sequel, if "Krrish" clicks at the box-office. The trade says the film is sure to take a great opening. "Krrish" will also have a Tamil dubbed version and the film opens with 32 prints all over Tamil Nadu. In Chennai city only the Hindi version will be screened in three huge screens (Sathyam, Ega, Melody) and a mini screen (Anna) with a combined capacity of nearly 3,700 per show, making it the biggest ever opening for any Hindi film.
