Double treat for music lovers


The Sree Poornathrayeesa Sangeeta Sabha will organise a double musical treat on June 24 and 25 at the Kalikota Palace, Tripunithura.

On the first day a Carnatic vocal concert by the noted playback singer P. Unnikrishnan will be held. T. H. Subramaniam will accompany Unnikrishnan on the violin, on the mridangam by Changanasserry B. Harikumar and on the ghatam by Elanjimmel Susheel Kumar.


An evening of ghazals by Kerala's own ghazal singer Umbayi (P. A. Ibrahim) will be held on the second day. Antony Pipichan (tabla), Radhakrishnan (harmonium), Herald Antony (violin), Berny (mandolin) and Sameer (guitar) will provide the accompaniment.

Both the events will be held at 6.15 p.m.
