The Unwind Center's three-week rock festival Spykar Jeans JRO 2006 reaches a grand finale this weekend with performances by Chennai band Panatella, IIIrd Sovereign from Mizoram and Parousia from Bangalore.

Panatella bagged the prize for Best Band at Decibels, the rock competition at IIT Madras's Saarang 2005. Featuring Krishna on drums, Sunder on bass, Akshay on guitars and vocals and Krishna Kumar on vocals and keys, the band gives a unique twist to classic retro rock. Parousia, well known in the city for its powerful Dream Theatre covers is often called a "wall of sound". Parousia features Naveen Thomas and Britto Laban on guitars, Ranjit Abraham on vocals,

Jason Zacharaiah on keyboards, Rateesh Abraham on drums and Shawn Roberts on bass. IIIrd Sovereign featuring Mala on vocals, Anshuman on guitar, Reuben on drums and Jonah on bass is considered one of the tightest death metal acts in the country.

The final evening of JRO kicks off at 6.30 p.m. on June 24 at Unwind Center, #280, 10th Cross, Wilson Gardens. For details, logon to www.unwindcenter.com
