Pizza or cone?

A pizza in a cone is perfect for those on the go

CONNIZA Say cheese

"Pizza in a cone? It will just be a wee bit of toping and the rest, baked dough," said a friend. However, I was delighted to find that the conizza was scrumptious.

A fusion of two words, `cone+pizza=coniza,' it reminds you of a huge waffle cone ice cream. However, instead of creamy ice cream, it's greens for the veggies and succulent tender pieces of meat for the non-vegetarians. Both have loads of cheese in it!

Although pizzas are traditionally round with toppings, Pizza Corner, in a bid to attract customers, has come up with an innovative idea; the cone is made out of hand stretched fresh pizza dough and filled with toppings and melted cheese.

Drip-free

The soft yet crisp pizza base, which is in the shape of a cone, is drip free, making it ideal for even those on the go. One can munch on this delicious novelty as easily as one can enjoy an ice cream in a cone.

The `pizzas in a cone' comes in six different options. Panner tikka conizza has paneer, onion and capsicum. Vegetarians can also opt for either Mushroom-corn mix as topping or the Spicy veggie conizza that has onion, capsicum and jalapenos.

Non-vegetarians can choose from chicken sausage, chicken tikka and keema. The chicken tikka conizza is a mix of chicken tikka, onion and capsicum while the chicken sausage cone has sausage, onion and cheese. All varieties are cooked in a special tandoor masala sauce.

The price ranges from Rs. 65 to Rs. 80. The cones come in a specially crafted box that holds it in place for those who opt the take away or home delivery method.
