Hygiene tips should do the trick
|
Every woman, at least once in a lifetime complains of a vaginal discharge, irritating, itching and painful. This could be due to various reasons and under various factors. Let us enumerate them.
The symptoms usually are:
A thick, cheese like white discharge from the vagina.
It could be associated with a burning sensation and could get worse every time a woman urinates confusing with a urinary infection.
Itching could be an associated symptom. Sexual intercourse could make the symptoms worse too.
The genitalia contain various bacterial flora which are not harmful but it is only when the harmful ones outnumber them that bacterial infection results leading to a thick, whitish and foul-smelling discharge which could spread even to the partner through intercourse.
Prevention and treatment
Women need to keep the external genitalia clean and dry.
Irritating sprays, douches and soaps should be avoided.
Sanitary napkins should be changed frequently.
Loose underclothing, which does not trap moisture, should be used.
Keeping blood sugar levels under control is imperative.
Homoeopathic medicine has good remedies to get rid of the specific infection and thereby the discharge and the accompanying symptoms. Alumina and Hydrastis remedy discharge usually after menses with itching of the external genitalia, when pronounced, Caladium and Kreosote have been proven helpful.
Borax is indicated in young girls with this problem more so when they also suffer with painful menses. Bovista is a remedy when bacterial infection intervenes leading to a greenish discharge and so also Pulsatilla. Sepia is indicated in menopausal women as the deficient hormones play a role in contributing to the problem.
