Why I like it?
It's God's own country and my two lovely grandchildren, Ayesha and Riyad, live there. Good enough reason for it being my favourite getaway.
Breathtakingly scenic
Kochi is a gorgeous gateway to Kerala. With the Arabian Sea on one side and the Western Ghats on the other, the city boasts an ideal `chill out' weather almost throughout the year. Its world class port is worth a visit. I just love the roasted and raw peanuts you get on the jetties.
Other favourites
Two other favourite destinations that I cannot do without mentioning are Mumbai and London. Wondering why a dusty, packed-to-the-brim and always-on-the-move Mumbai can be my kind of place? Believe it or not, I just love its brisk pace and never-say-die attitude. I am quite excited whenever professional commitments take me to the bustling metro.
And the lovely London
Tall trees, neatly maintained buildings, prim and proper parks... the rhythm of this city is beautiful. In London and not at Leicester Square? Impossible, at least for me. It is the centre of action — movies, meeting friends, eating out, window shopping and much more.
Ethnic attire
When travelling, I am generally in a salwar kameez. Otherwise, for my shows in any part of the globe, it has to be only a sari, that too elegant silk.
