Enslaving humans

Deepa Ganesh's article ("Masters of the new world", June 3) clearly states how modern technology has dumbed us down.

Before, man used his brains and skill to do work. Now calculators, computers, microwaves, washing machines and mobile phones have taken over. In short, we have enslaved ourselves to machines.
