The World Cup replica in chocolate
To sweeten the football frenzy, German chef Herr Lothar Buss has made a 10kg chocolate centerpiece.
The German chef, along with his team of cooks is at Taj Banjara to participate in `Taste of Germany', a month-long extravaganza of German food and drinks, which Taj Hotels and Resorts is holding at all its hotels in India in association with Central Marketing Organisation of German Agricultural Industries (CMA) and Lufthansa.
Coinciding with the World Cup, `Taste of Germany' will continue till July 9, 2006 and the hotel has made special arrangements for guests to soak in the football frenzy by watching the matches on extra-large screens amidst a sporty ambience. The German food fest is also on.
Another place in the city that has a special world cup menu is Fusion 9. The special FIFA menu is sizzling at F9, covering hot favourites like Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, England and many more. This festival too is on till July 9. The dishes are named after star players and the cuisines is from the same country as the player.
Some dishes on the menu include Jared Borgetti (Mexico-Nachos with sour cream and guacomole), David Beckham (England- Asparagus quiche) and Juan Pablo Sorin (Argentina- Potato croquettes).
