An evening of Talat Mahmood

It's time for a shopping spree at Westside. The bi-annual sale that begins on June 30, will offer discounts up to 50 per cent. The month long extravaganza will offer the latest styles in fashion and household merchandise at almost half the price. For children, the sale includes clothes, footwear, acessories and more.

To indulge in some serious gold therapy head to the necklace festival at the Malabar Gold jewellery showroom. The festival has on display over 1,000 designs in gold and jewellery from Italy, Turkey, Korea, Bahrain and Singapore. Prices range from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 8 lakhs. Till festival is on till July 23.


Nearly 50 artists from Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal are teaming up for a show titled `Reflections Of Another Day'. This exhibition which opens on June 27 will continue till July 2 at the Chitramayee State Gallery of Art.

Keeping in mind the ever-increasing demand for radio jockeys and to cater to the needs of growing FM channels, Sutradhar School of Acting is organising a 3-week Voice Workshop called Pehchan from Thursday, June 29. There is no age bar and no specific qualification required to be a participant. The workshop is open for all those who want to take up voice-lending as an avocation or even as a profession. Enjoy a musical evening by Khalid Mahmood on Saturday, July 1 at Ravindra Bharathi. Khalid is legendary singer Talat Mahmood's son and the evening is jointly presented by the Department of Culture and the A.J Deccan Arts and Artists' Association.

The programme will begin at 6.30 p.m. and is on a first come, first serve basis.
