Pallavi Kulkarni on her role as Vaidehi

FOR INNOCENCE Pallavi Kulkarni

She wanted to do hotel management, but Pallavi Kulkarni landed in the acting arena instead and became a recognisable face, thanks to serials like Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat, Had Kar Di, Aaj Bhi Ateet and Kehta Hai Dil. But her most challenging role she says is in Vaidehi - Aik Aur Agneepariksha, on Sony TV. Vaidehi is the brainchild of actress-turned-soap producer, Aruna Irani. It is a story about a sensitive, simple girl and about life after marriage, and Pallavi plays the lead. Talking of her earlier success in Kehta Hai Dil, Pallavi says, "Though I was quite active in modelling and theatre, the recognition that I achieved through Kehta Hai Dil was amazing. But Pallavi took her own time to switch to Hindi serials. She explains, "I wanted some rest. I am concentrating only on Vaidehi."
