The Mexican flavour

YUMMY! One of the Mexican delights on offer

Mexico may be out of the FIFA World Cup, but the Mexican wave continues at The Taco Maker, a Mexican fast food chain in Hauz Khas. Joining the trend of restaurants offering soccer matches telecast on a big screen with meal combos to cash in on the football fever, Taco Maker has introduced FIFA special mocktails and combos.

While catching the action live on a large screen, indulge yourself with an assortment of lip smacking Mexican tacos, yummy burritos, classic nacho and salsa, spicy enchiladas, salads and an array of desserts.

Chicken tacos

Try out ground/shredded chicken tacos and shredded chicken quesadilla or go for one with paneer or potato, if you are a vegetarian, from the FIFA combo segment. And don't forget to order ground chicken taco salad - or its paneer variant - with lots of cheese and lettuce leaves. It is a scrumptious way to make friends with Mexico.

To complement your Mexican culinary delights, get a FIFA special mocktail like `Blend it like Beckham' - a mixture of orange, pineapple and cranberry juice, especially popular among Beckham fans. Then there is `Three to Tango - Ronaldo, Adriano, Ronaldinho' which is as good as the Brazilian trio.Snacks like tarter gems and crisp taco go well with the drinks on offer.

To offset the onscreen tension during matches, you can get yourself a cool avalanche shake — ice cream mixed with your favourite fruit flavour.

With its delectable Mexican food, its ambience too is in harmony with the soccer mania. To add to the feel, there are footballs on the counters coupled with flags and T-shirts on the walls.

Adventure doesn't stop here. Historical moments from football matches are screened prior to the starting of the event, while waiters serve Mexican delights dressed in their FIFA T-shirts.
